FOR USING GOPRO AND OTHER ACTION CAMERAS IN FREEZING TEMPERATURES
KEEP RUNNING WHILE EXPOSED TO COLD
While recording the camera creates heat keeping it warm. Avoid exposing your camera to cold unless it's powered on and recording.
COLD AND WIND
REDUCE BATTERY LIFE
Camera batteries can be irreversible damaged in cold weather. Cold can significantly reduce the overall life of batteries, or prevent them from working at all.
USE LOW FRAME RATE AND RESOLUTION
Using high frame rates and resolution settings draws more power reducing overall battery life. Also avoid using other high power settings.

RETAIN HEAT

Your camera generates a surprising amount of heat while filming. In addition to shielding your camera from cold and wind, Hoody Cam captures and retains this heat. If you are filming continuously, hotpacks are not required.
HOTPACKS OPTIONAL

Hoody Cam significantly improves battery life even without hotpacks. If you plan to turn the camera on and off throughout the day, or if conditions are extremly cold, you can optionally add a hotpack. Most users report not needing a hotpack for a typical day of riding

COLD EXPOSURE
Some lithium batteries have very poor performance and will die quickly in cold weather, or fail to power on at all. If your camera is turned off for extended periods of time ( >30 minutes), keep it inside Hoody Cam with a fully activated heat pack.
